Hip Hop Culture Scion Paint Louis Returns To the St. Louis Riverfront Labor Day Weekend!

Paint Louis returns to the St. Louis riverfront September 4–6 for three days of graffiti, live music, DJs, MCs, breaking, skateboarding, family activities, food and public art.
The Labor Day weekend gathering brings together artists, performers, families, hip-hop fans and visitors for one of the city’s most colorful cultural events. More than 400 graffiti artists are expected to participate in 2026, creating new work while music and activities take place throughout the riverfront.
Visitors can watch artists paint, hear live hip-hop, catch DJs and breakers, visit vendors, bring children to Paint Littles and spend the day exploring the Mural Mile.
A St. Louis Tradition With a Wide Reach
Paint Louis began in 1997 and has grown into an internationally recognized gathering of graffiti artists and hip-hop creatives.
Co-founder John Harrington, a member of the St. Louis hip-hop group Midwest Avengers, remains one of the festival’s longtime organizers. Harrington and others are, helping assemble a roster that includes artists from major U.S. cities and international participants.
Paint Louis’ 2026 programming also includes Errupt MGMT and an Errupt MGMT x Red Bull Skatepark Stage, adding skateboarding, breaking and live music to the weekend.

St. Louis Magazine has described Paint Louis as a destination well known among graffiti writers and muralists, while the Regional Arts Commission recognizes the riverfront as the Mural Mile, an evolving public-art space where new work continues to transform the floodwall.

Friday: Independent Hip-Hop Takes the Stage
Friday’s Main Stage, hosted by Creze Gutta, brings together performers from St. Louis, New Orleans, Alton, Granite City, Milwaukee, Iowa City, Atlanta, Fresno, Oakland, Berkeley and San Francisco.
The hometown lineup includes Noun Peel, MAGNUM314, Calice Boyz, nobodybutsunder, 12-6 Movement, AD1111 and SlowSpreadLove. Regional performers include KRENSHAW and The Almighty Lawdawg from Alton and Unhappy The Wicked from Granite City.
Visiting performers include Taiyamo Denku, Klazik, Kushton Dior, Carsan, Jamel Griot, Triibe Music Group, LOE.Gino and Lil MC.
Friday also features the Pay The Producer MC Battle at 6 p.m.
Friday Night Finish
At 9:40 p.m., New Orleans artist Alfred Banks takes the stage.
Then at 10 p.m., T-Dubb-O closes Friday night’s Main Stage for St. Louis.
The closing sequence gives Friday a fitting combination: a visiting artist from one of America’s most influential music cities followed by a hometown performer ending the night.
Saturday: Music, Art and Family Fun
Saturday broadens the experience with The Beat Junkies, DJ Babu and Rakaa, bringing turntablism and independent West Coast hip-hop into the weekend.
Visitors can also experience ongoing graffiti painting, local DJs, live performances, skateboarding, breaking, food vendors and other activities throughout the riverfront.
For families, Paint Littles gives younger visitors an opportunity to participate. Activities promoted for the program include spray painting, face painting, balloon making, custom graffiti trucker hats and goodie bags.
Sunday Keeps the Weekend Going
Sunday continues the festival with more live painting, music and family programming.
Rah Digga is among the featured performers, bringing one of hip-hop’s most respected lyrical voices to the riverfront.
Reup Von Wolfgang is also scheduled to perform during the weekend on September 5 and 6.
By Sunday, visitors also have the opportunity to see how much of the weekend’s artwork has developed since Friday, making it a good day for anyone interested in seeing how the murals evolved over the course of the festival.
