Creative Family Fun for All

There’s something different about creating art outside.

Add music, food, people from the neighborhood and a few hours without anywhere else you necessarily need to be, and a painting session can become something much bigger.

That appears to be the idea behind Canvas Couture: Paint, Laugh & Vibe — Park Edition, coming to O’Fallon Park in St. Louis on Sunday, September 20, 2026.

Presented by The Prosperity Boys, the community event takes over O’Fallon Park Pavilion #1 from noon until 6 p.m., bringing together guided painting, live entertainment, food and community resources for an afternoon designed around creativity and connection.

And you don’t have to pick up a paintbrush to be part of it.

More Than A Paint Party

Canvas Couture is built around two guided painting sessions.

The first runs from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., followed by a break and reset from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. A second painting session begins at 3 p.m. and runs until 5 p.m.

But the larger event continues throughout the afternoon.

Live entertainment, community organizations, free hot dogs and refreshments are also part of the day, making Canvas Couture as much a neighborhood gathering as it is a ticketed painting experience.

While painting sessions require tickets, the community resource area is open to everyone. Families, neighbors and visitors can come through without purchasing a painting package.

Creativity Meets Community

The Citizens of O’Fallon Park Neighborhood Association joins the event as its Community Resource Partner.

That partnership gives Canvas Couture another dimension.

Art may be what gets people into the park, but putting residents in the same space with neighborhood organizations and resources creates an opportunity for something longer lasting.

It’s also an approach that feels particularly appropriate for O’Fallon Park.

Instead of asking the community to enter somebody else’s space, Canvas Couture brings the experience directly into a public place that already belongs to the neighborhood.

For a few hours, a park pavilion becomes an outdoor art studio, entertainment venue and community gathering place all at once.

For those ready to paint, two early-bird ticket options are being offered.

Painting tickets are required only for painters.

Everyone else is welcome to come for the music, community resources, refreshments — or simply to enjoy the atmosphere.

A Sunday In The Park

Some of the best community events don’t need to be complicated.

Give people a reason to leave the house. Put something creative in front of them. Play some music. Feed somebody. Introduce neighbors to organizations doing work in their community.

Then give everybody enough room to simply enjoy themselves.
